Book a consultation or appointment today. We can’t wait to meet you! Tattoo & Permanent Makeup Policies At UIB Tattoos & Permanent Makeup, your safety, comfort, and experience matter to us. Please read the following policies carefully before booking an appointment. By booking an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to all policies listed below. 18 & Over Policy: Alaska state law prohibits tattooing anyone under the age of 18. No exceptions are allowed, and parent or guardian consent is not accepted. All clients must be 18 years or older and present a valid government-issued photo ID at the time of their appointment. Shop Minimum: Our shop minimum is $125 per person, per session. These minimum covers: Sterile setup and breakdown Single-use and disposable supplies Sanitation of equipment and procedure area Professional application by a licensed and experienced artist. The shop minimum applies regardless of tattoo size. Any tattoo taking more than 30 minutes will be priced above the minimum. Multiple small tattoos may be charged at a flat rate or hourly, which is often more cost-effective. Deposits: All appointments require a deposit. Deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE and NON-TRANSFERABLE. Deposits are applied toward the final cost of your tattoo at your final session, unless forfeited. Deposits are forfeited if you: No-show your appointment Cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice. Reschedule more than two times. Arrive 15 minutes or more late without notice. Arrive without valid ID. Arrive intoxicated or otherwise unable to be tattooed. Request excessive or last-minute design changes. Decide not to proceed with the tattoo. If a deposit is forfeited, a new deposit may be required before booking future appointments. Cancellations & Rescheduling: A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule. With proper notice, your deposit may be applied to a future appointment. Appointments rescheduled more than two times will result in deposit forfeiture Late Arrivals: Please notify us if you are running late. Arriving 15 minutes or more late without notice may result in: Forfeiture of your deposit Loss of your appointment Requirement to reschedule with a new deposit. Artwork & Design Policy: Custom tattoo designs are not previewed, emailed, or texted prior to your scheduled appointment. Minor revisions within the original concept may be made on the day of your appointment Major changes to design, placement, or concept may result in: Deposit forfeiture Appointment rescheduling A new deposit requirement Custom Tattoo Policy: We do not copy or duplicate custom tattoos, including: Tattoos created by our artists Tattoos created by other artists Designs found online or on social media We are happy to create a custom design inspired by a reference, tailored specifically to you. *Flash tattoos are intended to be repeatable and may be tattooed multiple times. Touch-Ups: Courtesy touch-ups are at the discretion of the tattoo artist. Necessary touch-ups related to application or healing are free if performed within 6 months Touch-ups must be done by the original artist Tattoos must be fully healed before touch-ups. Touch-ups are not free if: Aftercare instructions were not followed Changes are requested to the original design The tattoo is on a non-guaranteed area Non-guaranteed areas include: Head Face Hands and fingers Feet Healing in these areas cannot be guaranteed and may require multiple paid touch-ups. Refund Policy: NO REFUNDS — NO EXCEPTIONS. If an issue occurs due to artist error, the artist will correct it at no charge. Please contact the shop promptly so we can resolve the matter professionally. Guest Policy You may bring one guest to your appointment. Excess or disruptive guests will be asked to leave. Children are not permitted in the tattooing area at any time. Gift Certificates: Gift certificates are non-refundable and have no cash value. Recommended for use within 12 months of purchase. After 12 months, certificates retain their dollar value; however: Service pricing may change, Additional charges may apply. Gift certificates: Are valid toward regular-priced services only Cannot be used for flash events, promotions, or discounted services unless explicitly stated. Cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Permanent Makeup (PMU) Consultation Policy: A consultation is required prior to booking any PMU service. Consultation fee: $50 Appointment-only Approximately 30 minutes The consultation fee is applied toward your PMU service if you proceed with booking Purpose of the Consultation During your PMU consultation, we will: Review your goals and expectations Evaluate facial features, skin type, and undertones Discuss pigment selection and design options Review medical history to determine candidacy Go over pre-procedure and aftercare requirements Answer all questions thoroughly Permanent makeup is a tattoo procedure, and proper planning, assessment, and education are essential for safe and successful results.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations and no-shows will automatically forfeit the deposit, and an additional 30% of the service cost. Cancellation/no-show fee will be charged to the card on file with no exceptions. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
